Majlis Commission Ninety Report

TEHRAN The Deputy Chairman of Majlis Commission Ninety, Davoud Hassan-Zadegan, said on Sunday that copies of the commission's report on the prison situation would be submitted to the government, Majlis commissions, and the Judiciary.
"The prisons survey report has been prepared at the request of the State Prisons Organization, in order to solve the prisoners' welfare, housing, and health care problems, specifically in Tehran," Hassan-Zadegan said.
Focusing on the bad housing conditions, the bad welfare situation, inadequate health care, training and clothing, as well as the huge number of prisoners, he continued, "One of the problems of prisons is drug-addiction and the sharing of syringes by intravenous drug users, which is spreading dangerous diseases in prisons.
