TEHRAN The creation of artistic works by committed and pious artists is indeed a God-given gift. This gift has been given by God to mankind so that those who are looking for the right path may use it as a beacon toward the fulfillment of their lofty objectives.

Martyr Seyed Morteza Avini was a committed and pious artist who, without expecting any reward, created several remarkable artistic works, including the TV series Revayat-e Fat'h, which portrayed the miracle of sacrifice, devotion and martyrdom of the Iranian forces during the eight-year Iraqi imposed war.

Avini rendered valuable services to the Art Bureau of the Islamic Propagation Organization for several years and greatly contributed to the growth of Islamic art.

He was also a skilled researcher, writer and translator. His works like "Mirror of Magic", "Spiritism" and "Explanation of Light" are well-known to every one.

This committed artist, who had a great love for the Basiji culture, finally attained his goal of martyrdom.

A ceremony marking Avini's martyrdom anniversary was held yesterday at Ravayat-e Fat'h Institute. The ceremony was attended by a large number of Basijis and Avini's former colleagues and friends.
