Former MP to Stand for President

TEHRAN Former Tehran MP, Hossein Ghafouri-Fard has announced he will be a "neutral" candidate for president in the June 8 election, the student news agency ISNA reported Sunday.
The agency quoted Ghafouri-Fard, a university professor, as saying that his candidacy for president is aimed at offering his plans to the youths.
Earlier, Ahmad Tavakkoli, a former labor minister, Ebrahim Asgharzadeh, one of the students following the Imam's path who took over the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979, and Ali Fallahian, a former information minister, announced their intention for president.
