MILAN Serie A leaders AS Roma returned to form by beating Udinese 3-1 while third-placed Lazio kept up their title chase with a 2-1 win over Vicenza on Sunday.

Goals from Vincenzo Montella, Damiano Tomassi and Hidetoshi Nakata ensured victory for Roma, who had taken just one point from their previous two games.

The win put Roma seven points ahead of second-placed Juventus, who face Parma later on Sunday.

Argentines Diego Simeone and Hernan Crespo each scored to put Lazio 2-0 ahead before Brazilian Jeda cut the deficit. Lazio are now level on 55 points with Juventus.

AC Milan needed a last-minute goal from Georgian Kakha Kaladze to earn a 3-3 draw at Lecce, while Perugia also left it late to grab a 2-2 draw with Atlanta, South Korean Jung Wan Ahn getting a last-gasp equalizer.
