DUBAI A parcel bomb blew up in the face of an American doctor in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, wounding him in the face and hands, Reuters reported.
Saudi state television said the unidentified American thought the package he had received at his office contained a video cassette.
It quoted the local chief of police as saying the unnamed U.S. national was rushed to hospital in the eastern city of Al-Khobar.
The blast injured his face, hands and left knee, the television added.
One Briton and an Egyptian were slightly injured in an explosion in the Saudi capital Riyadh in March.
