IRAN The under-16 chess team of Iran taking part in the International Chess Championship competitions held in Baku, Azerbaijan Republic, finished third.

In the fifth round of the competitions wound up on Friday June 22, the Iranian side playing "Georgia A" shared the points and collected 1.5 points each. Bagging totally 6 points, Iran managed to win the third rank of the international contests.

"Azerbaijan A" and Russia ranked first and second with 12 and 11.5 points respectively.
