Venezuela Said in Talks With the Bush Administration on Supplying Crude to the United States
CARACAS, Venezuela President Hugo Chavez has ordered a team of oil experts to work with the Bush administration on supplying crude to the United States.
Venezuela's Ambassador to Washington, Ignacio Arcaya, said the team will consist of officials from the state oil monopoly Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. its Citgo Petroleum Corp. Subsidiary and the Energy Ministry, AP reported.
We are talking about creating a binational team'' that could involve Vice President Dick Cheney's office and the U.S. Energy Department, Arcaya said in Friday's editions of ****El Nacional**** newspaper. Venezuela, a member of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, is one of the leading suppliers of crude to the United States.
