TEHRAN The Turkish daily **** Akit **** reported on Sunday that a delegation of Jewish Americans has had secret meetings with Turkish officials in Turkey.

According to the daily, the delegation is affiliated to a major Jewish organization in the United States and is accompanied by high-ranking members of Congress and Pentagon and State Department officials. The daily says that the delegation has been in Turkey for 15 days and has met with Turkish political and military officials.

No news has been published about the trip or the meetings with Turkish officials.

Turkey has been strengthening its ties with the Zionist regime and its supporter the United States. In the latest stage of the development of these ties, last month Turkey held its first joint military maneuvers with the Zionist regime and the United States.

The maneuvers were held in the Turkish district of Konya, and were widely opposed by the residents of the central Turkey. The residents protested against the use of depleted uranium during the maneuvers, but Turkish officials denied using the deadly substance.

Turkey, which is over 98 percent Muslim, has now become the closest ally of the Zionist regime in the region and is fully cooperating with the Zionist entity.
