Over 1mn Tons of Goods Exported from Hormuzgan

TEHRAN Over 1,313,000 tons of non-oil commodities valued at Rls.422.39 billion were exported abroad from the province in the first three months of the current Iranian year, official in charge of Hormuzgan customs office Mohammad-Rashid Solgi said on Monday.

The exported goods registered an increase of 23 percent in terms of weight and 92 percent in terms of value compared to the corresponding period last year, he said.

The exported items consisted of marine, agricultural, mining, chemical, texttile as well as industrial products, he said.

The goods mostly were shipped to the United Arab Emirates, China, Germany, Oman and India, he said.

In addition to non-oil commodities, some Rls.98.83 billion worth of oil processed products such as tar and gas oil were exported from the provincial customs office, Solgi said.

During the period, over three million tons of goods valued at Rls.3,172 billion were imported to the country via the customs office, he said.

The volume of imported goods registered a 16 percent growth in terms of weight and 20 percent in terms of value compared to the corresponding period last year, he said.

The commodities imported included wheat, meat, barley, cooking oil, machinery parts, construction machinery, raw material, and chemicals. They were imported from the United Arab Emirates, China, Taiwan, Germany, India and South Korea, he said.
