Tehran Immigration Problems Must Be Solved
According to reports, speaking in Tehran's Development and Planning Council, Zebardast referred to statistics showing an increase in immigration and added that at the present time 400,000 students are studying in the universities and some 100,000 more students enter universities in Tehran annually, 2.5 percent of which are from Tehran and the rest are from other provinces.
He added that most of the students will remain in Tehran after their graduation.
Pointing to the 220,000 students studying at Azad University in Tehran Province, he said that one third of the Azad University students are studying in Tehran.
According to reports, it is estimated that between 856,000 to 1,350,000 people will have immigrated to Tehran Province in the decade of 1996 to 2006.
