TEHRAN - An official from the World Tajik and Farsi Association, Dr. Abdulqader Manyazov, has said that the idea of dialogue among civilizations should be made effective every year, not just for one year. He added that President Khatami's initiative is a new phenomenon that will increase cooperation and improve relations between nations around the world.
Manyazov suggested that Tajiks, like other nations, have played a major role in human civilization and Tajikistan's President, Imomali Rakhmanov, always stresses dialogue among countries to resolve differences.
The official said that Iran and Tajikistan are two Farsi-language countries that endeavor to develop mutual cultural and political relations.
He also said that his organization would be holding a conference entitled "The Role of the Tajik and Farsi Languages in the World", the main aim of which is to develop and improve relations among nations who speak Farsi.
