Further Economic Ties Stressed With Georgia
During the meeting, attended by the head of Georgian Chamber of Industries and Mines Guram D. Akhvlediani and head of Chamber of Commerce of Isfahan Province Manouchehr Bozorgi, Akhvlediani called for the removal of existing barriers on the way of exporting Iranian goods to Georgia.
Head of the Iranian economic delegation Bozorgi pointed to the reciprocal cultural relations as factors clearing way for further economic ties with Georgia.
He also referred to Iran's new economic situation regarding the facilities generated to attract more foreign investments, and emphasized on the need for revision of bilateral industrial and trade cooperation.
"Based on the facilities, the taxes on Iranian exports have been removed and suitable grounds been created to attract foreign capitals," he noted.
Meanwhile, Iran's ambassador to Tbilisi Abolfazl Khazaei called the Iranian delegation's trip to the country as an opportunity for boosting commercial and economic bonds.
He stressed on revision of Georgia's customs regulations and said that the measure will play an important role in removing the present obstacles on the way of Iranian tradesmen activities.
