TEHRAN -- A funeral ceremony was held yesterday for Amrollah Naderan, a war veteran who was injured by chemical weapons during the 1980-1988 Iraqi imposed war.

He was the head of Omreh University Students' Headquarters of Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, which held the funeral procession.

Naderan's family members and ministry officials attended the memorial service.

According to the ministry's Public Relations Office, Naderan, 32, succumbed to his injuries after years of suffering.
