TEHRAN -- Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi in a meeting with the outgoing Saudi Ambassador to Tehran Jamil bin Abdullah al-Jaishi here Thursday stressed the need to diversify mutual relations in all areas, IRNA reported.

Kharrazi underscored Tehran's resolve to boost ties with Riyadh and promote bilateral cooperation in all areas at regional and international levels.

He voiced delight with the expansion of reciprocal bonds in various spheres, and stressed Iran's determination to continue the process.

Al-Jaishi, for his part, recalled the positive developments in mutual political, cultural, economic and trade relations in recent years, and highlighted Riyadh's interest in further broadening relations with Tehran.
