July 27, 2002 - 0:0
TEHRAN -- A 4.5-Richter quake jolted south of Qazvin, a city northwest of Tehran, at 17:59 hours local time on Thursday, according to the Geophysics Institute at Tehran University.

No report has been received on any possible damage caused by the quake, said IRNA.

Hundreds of local citizens had been killed and several thousand others were injured late June when Qazvin Province was jolted by a six-degree quake.
