TEHRAN -- Majlis deputy Abolfazl Shakouri of Zanjan and Tarom said that in the present critical situation we must stand aloof from any conflict, since conflict and disputes will weaken national solidarity, which is the key to maintaining Islamic identity and the Islamic system. Speaking in a live interview with Farhang Radio, he added, "Allah has forbidden Muslims from struggling against each other, warning that this will lead to the destruction of the Muslim society."

Shakouri said, "Our current society requires us to take necessary precautions to avoid any dispute or struggle in order to preserve the Islamic essence, identity and system by enhancing national solidarity and unity.

"National solidarity against foreign threats is the number one priority and central to the pillars of the Islamic society. It is vitally essential that the two factions must not consider themselves an absolute authority, since there is no absolute authority in Islam except the absolute power of Allah.

"In a political society there are no absolutes. Seeking conflict and disputes is contrary to national solidarity. Officials must treat each other in a way that the two factions feel that they are the children of the Islamic system, the Islamic Revolution and the Leader."
