Fatemeh (SA), Sacred Pure Woman

One of the wonders of creation is the greatness of Islam's saintly woman, Fatemeh (SA), which has been understood only by the Holy Prophet Mohammad (S) and Amir-ul Mo'menin Ali (AS) and her pure children, but not comprehended by the common people.

In some traditions her lofty status is compared with the night of Qadr (the night the Qoran was revealed). This shows her dignity and glory as well as her obscurity.

Surely, those who believe in the divine inspiration can perceive her exalted dignity through the speeches of the Holy Prophet (S) and the 12 Imams (AS). Alas! Most people are not able to understand her because of their ungratefulness.

How did the common people treat Imam Ali (AS), who lived among them for 30 years after the departure of Hazrat Zahra (SA)? They disrespected and oppressed him. Then how could we expect them to respect his eighteen-year-old wife.

Those who closed their eyes and judged unwisely, seeking imagined benefits and mundane ephemeral profits, not knowing that turning their backs on the family of the Prophet (S), the Ahl-ul-Bait, would not bring them any heavenly blessings or even any worldly advantages. Their miserable fate was predicted by Zahra (SA), although many conspirators encouraged people to disregard her statements.

Amir-ul-Mo'menin (AS) said to Komeil: "People are of three types: One is the scholar and divine.

Then, the seeker of knowledge who is also on the way of deliverance. Then the common rot who run after every caller and bend in the direction of every wind." (Nahj-ul-Balaghah, Aphorism 147) Yes, those who turn their backs to Ali (AS) and Fatemeh (SA), surely they are themselves responsible for what they have done.

"Fatemeh is a pure woman. Whoever angers her, angers Allah. Whoever pleases her, pleases Allah," the Prophet (S) frequently said.

I wish they had only turned their backs on these two beautiful flowers of paradise and not prepared the fire of hell for themselves by injuring her chest and side and killing her unborn child.

I wish their eyes had not been closed and that they had been able to see what a grave indignation they had inflicted on her, and her family as well, causing them to exchange the blessings of paradise for the torment of hell.

In spite of these affronts by the unenlightened people, the great woman of the universe was always concerned about them. But no one listened to her.

Most of them oppressed her greatly, unaware of the fact that they were oppressing themselves, but what have we done? Have we sought to know her, to support her hopes and desires? Have we made any efforts at propagating Shiism, the heritage of Fatemeh (SA)? Have we told the world about her oppression? Have we used her manners and morals as a guide and example for our behavior and morals? If we have done so, Allah will give us guidance and good news.

God wanted her dignity to be hidden until the Day of Judgement. Then it will be revealed to us.

Hopefully, God will bless us.
