Iran, Turkey to Discuss Relations, Int'l Problems

TEHRAN -- Development of bilateral relations in various fields are to be discussed here by Turkish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sukru Sina Gurel, who arrived in the Iranian capital on Saturday for a one-day visit at the invitation of Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi.

Sources said the sides are also to discuss matters connected with the Iraq issue, the Middle East crisis, and the situation in Afghanistan, the Caucasus and Central Asia.

The Turkey's official is expected to be received by Iranian President Seyed Mohammad Khatami, Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Mahdi Karrubi, and is to meet other officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
