TEHRAN -- In a telephone interview with IRIB radio, Mr. Chamani, the manager of Iran Milk Industries, said that poor quality powdered milk is currently smuggled into the country and Iran's milk and milk powder production satisfies domestic requirements. Referring to the ban on powdered milk imports, he said that Iran reached a state of self-sufficiency in producing milk powder twelve years ago and is now exporting this product to some twenty countries.
