Translation Best Way to Promote Islam: Iranian Researcher

TEHRAN -- World's top researcher in 1998 and 2003 said that the best method to promote Islam today is through the translation of religious materials into English and other widely spoken languages. Hassan Kalan Farmanfarma added, "English is widely spoken across the globe, and Islamic materials should likewise be translated into the same language." Farmanfarma who was named and honored twice by the International Biography Institute, added, "The translation of Islamic materials into English is not practiced widely at the moment, despite the fact that the majority of world community are greatly interested in understanding its rules and principles."
He emphasized the importance of Internet for teaching Islamic sharia and noted that he is currently working on the English translation of Nahj-ul-Balaghah and martyr Motahhari's Books. He has so far translated over 18 foreign books into Persian, mostly linguistic and medical.
