Book illustrator believes children have much to say in painting

TEHRAN -- Children’s book illustrator Mohammad-Hossein Salavatian is convinced that Iranian children have a lot to say in painting and are among the world’s most talented children.
“Painting has its own special status for children and hundreds of painting festivals are held around the globe every year,” he told the Persian service of IRNA.Iran’s Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) acts like an intimate family across the country and its instructors are highly professional, he added.
“Children can flourish at IIDCYA provincial departments across the country and reveal their hidden talents,” he remarked.
Salavatian has been working at the Hamedan department as head of the graphic section. He is very interested in painting and published his first book in 1989.
He also writes books and “Angels of Ahmad and Zahra”, “Secret of Beautiful Paintings” and “Mathnavi Stories” are among his credits.
