@= Iran's Amir Jafari Arangeh and Nader Moradi won two medals – one gold and one silver - at the 2015 IPC Powerlifting Asia Open Championships on Monday.
Jafari lifted 192kg in the Men’s 59kg and finished in the first place.
Silver and bronze medals went to Chinese Quanxi Yang and Russian Ildar Bedderdinov, who lifted 181kg and 178kg respectively.
Nader Moradi also claimed a silver medal in the Men’s 72kg, lifting 213kg.
Iraqi Rasool Mohsin seized the gold medal by lifting 225kg and bronze medal went to Abdelkareem Mohmmad Khattab with 205kg.
The competition is a key qualifier for the Rio 216 Paralympic Games and will be the sixth edition of the Asian Championships, the most established regional competition in powerlifting.
It has attracted over 220 athletes from 30 countries, making it one of the biggest Asian Championships in history.
The 2015 Asian Open Powerlifting Championships are taking place in Almaty from July 26 to 30.
