TEHRAN -- Two cast members of “Women Only” are offering iftar, the evening meal for breaking the fast during Ramadan, to filmgoers as part of a program to promote the Iranian film. The producer asked the leading actors Reza Attaran and Vishka Asayesh to attend the evening screening at Tehran’s Azadi Cinema and to serve the meal to the filmgoers.
The program, which began Tuesday on the first day of Ramadan, has been implemented to avoid a fall in the number of filmgoers during the month of fasting.
Directed by Rambod Javan, the film is currently on screen in a number of theaters in Tehran.
“Women Only” is about a girls’ high school principle who strongly disagrees with hiring a male teacher.
Pegah Ahangarani, Falamak Joneidi, Bahareh Rahnama, and Ali Sadeqi are also among the cast members.
