No crisis diplomacy can’t resolve: Iran FM on Yemen

November 11, 2017

TEHRAN – Iran’s foreign minister has called for negotiations to resolve the Yemeni crisis, saying “there’s no crisis that diplomacy can’t resolve.”

“As we inch closer to end of Syrian nightmare through inclusive dialog, we must do same for Yemen,” Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted on Wednesday, adding that Iran aims to secure peace “to exclusion of no one.”

In another tweet on Thursday, Zarif pointed to a 2015 peace plan he offered to resolve the Yemeni crisis.

“Over 2.5 years & many lives later, that plan is still valid today,” he said.
