TEHRAN - Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, a special aide to Majlis speaker for international affairs, said on Sunday that Iran will continue providing Yemen with “political” and “humanitarian” supports.

“Continuing fight against terrorism, ending Saudis’ aggression and humanitarian siege on Yemen and paying attention to Yemen’s economic situation are the most important current priorities,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

He also said the Yemeni parliament’s vote of confidence to the National Salvation Government has completed the political procedure in the country.

Yemen’s recently-formed National Salvation Government wins a vote of confidence from the parliament, raising hopes that the ongoing political efforts would help restore peace to the conflict-ridden country, Press TV reported.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said in a statement on Saturday that the Islamic Republic hopes that the new cabinet would help restore peace and stability to Yemen and resolve differences among different groups.
