TEHRAN – Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri, the deputy chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, has rejected reports that Iran has armed the Yemeni government and forces, saying the Arab country is able to meet its defensive needs.

“Yemen is in dire need of humanitarian aid from all over the world and we called on all countries and the free-hearted across the world to help Yemen in any form possible,” Jazayeri said on Saturday, Fars reported.

He also emphasized that Iran’s help to Yemen is limited to humanitarian aid and does not include weapons including missiles.
