TEHRAN – Nasrollah Sardashti was appointed as the new managing director of National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC).

Sardashti, who was previously the NITC director for commercial affairs, was appointed to the post replacing Sirous Kianersi, who was the managing director of company since October 2016, NITC Public Relations Department announced on Monday.

NITC, which operates the largest tanker fleet in the Middle East and has the world’s largest fleet of super tankers, transports Iranian crude and also acts as an independent entity in contracts with foreign concerns for crude oil transportation based on prevailing international freight rates.
