TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) – Top Iranian 3,000m hurdles runners will race on track of Shahid Shiroudi Sports Complex, central Tehran, on July 4.

The Track-and-Field Federation is holding the race – starting at 05:00 P.M. on Friday -- to pick the best runners.

Abolfazl Mahmoudian, Mahdi Zamani, Hamed Joulaei, Zarei-Nejad, Ahmad Zare’-Kar, Farhad Heidari, and Bayyaz Alipour are among the contestants.

Since Seyed Hamid Sajjadi, a top Iranian runner and Asian medalist, hung his boots, nobody has filled his shoes.
