TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) – The 6th Seminar on Preservation and Restoration of Historical-Cultural Monuments is to be held on October 19-22 in the premise of the former National Assembly, here in Tehran.

Out of 100 essays received by the secretariat, 34 essays will be delivered during the seminar.

The theory of preservation and restoration of museum works as well as the preventive measures of precious works are among the major goals of the seminar.

Definition of prevention in preserving the cultural works and its role in taking care of glass works, non-chemical methods in fighting the insects in museums, preserving digital sources, use of especial photography in renovation are among the issues to be discussed during the seminar.

An exhibition displaying the latest achievements on renovation, modern methods of renovation are among the other side section programs.

Meanwhile a tour visiting historical monuments of Qazvin is the program of the final day.

Holding five rounds of such seminar have so far helped gain great achievements such as exchanging experience, developing theoretical knowledge, and representing the facilities and new technology.
