Iranian Institute to Publish “German Love Poems”

TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) -- “German Love Songs,” an anthology of 100 German love poems from the Middle Ages to the present translated into Persian, will be published by the Iranian publisher “Morvarid” in the near future, the Iranian poet and the translator of the collection Ali Abdollahi said on Tuesday. “There have been some remarkable poets in the history of German literature,” he said, adding, “Our people are well acquainted with Rilke and Goethe.”
He also said that he had translated Hermann Hesse’s poems into Persian which will be available in bookstalls under the name “Love and Valediction” soon. This will be published by Jami Publications.
