NEW DELHI (IRNA) -- Rachna Krishan, chief operating officer, AIDC Solutions Inc on Saturday said, in the segment of promotion and adoption of automatic identification and data capturing, India and Iran can cooperate with each other.

Krishan, organizer of AIDC Solutions Expo 2003, an exhibition and conference at Pragati Maidan, told IRNA in an exclusive interview that time has now come that India and Iran should open to each other to do business in the areas of latest technologies. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Biometrics and mobile computing are the promising areas of cooperation between the two countries.

"If the Iranian establishment responds positively and opens the country's market as those of Dubai and Singapore then, AIDC would like to work in Iran," she said.

Rachna Krishan said, AIDC technology is very much beneficial in the present scenario when the whole world is going through a traumatic situation and the importance of security, logistics, defense, the barcode technologies would be helpful in this regard.

She said, the biometrics and Electronic Articles Surveillance (EAS) can provide complete security solution to any establishment and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) can give a cheap wireless telephony.

Mentioning of the importance of current and potential applications of technologies, Krishan said, AIDC Solutions are engaged in the areas of automatic identification and data capturing to help eliminate manual data collection and entry, save time and money, increase accuracy, and send data directly to a computer or microprocessor controlled system.

Elaborating further, she said, the technologies and applications which come under AIDC gambit are Barcode technologies, electronic article surveillance, radio frequency identification, smart card technologies, retail management, optical character recognition, mobile computing, biometrics, real time locating systems, warehouse management and supply chain management among other areas.

The three-day exposition which began at Pragati Maidan on Thursday, also displayed seamless insight into hyper growth industry by offering latest technologies, machines, materials, services and infrastructure related to AIDC industry.

She said, AIDC Solutions Inc play a significant role in bridging the gap between the end users and the technology vendors.
