Iran pulls off water tube steam boiler know-how
It is to play a part in the island’s water desalinating system, Nasser Jaberi told the MNA in the central capital Arak Sunday.
The boiler has been designed through the efforts of Iranian engineers at Machine Sazi Arak Company, said the equipment sales manager, expressing hope the boiler will satisfy the regional demand while meeting domestic needs at the same time, saving and earning forex for the country.
“The boiler can also be used in combined cycle power plants to recover dissipated heat for other industrial applications,” said Jaberi, adding the sugar industry is also another main client of the equipment.
“It may save them $300,000 in delivery from other exporting countries for the similar type,” Jaberi noted. “The cylinder, ordered by the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), weighs about 40 tons with 7x4x5m dimensions, whose worth stands at 9.7 billion rials.”
The company is the sole manufacturer of various types of boilers in the Middle East, playing a major role in design and production of conveyor belts, tanks, thermal converters, power plant equipment, and steel bridges.
