TEHRAN (MNA) -- The two-day National Theater Research Seminar opened at the Shahid Avini Hall of the Fine Arts Faculty of Tehran University on June 13.

The dean of the Music and Dramatic Arts Faculty of the university gave a lecture at the seminar in which he elaborated on national, regional, and local art.

“They have separate definitions. However, they are related and complementary to each other like concentric circles,” Tajbakhsh Fanaian said.

He noted that national, regional, and local arts are defined and regarded as subcultures which are gradually being forgotten with the advent of modernity in Iran.
