Part 4 --TEHRAN -- Ehud Barak may enter a deal with the Shas Party to provide it the post of interior minister (under the pretext that the party ranks third in Parliament), and in return reach an agreement that the Shas Party, while having control of the Interi However, the deal will not bring about stability and calm. Furthermore, any agreement resulting from unilateral decisions will cause the anger of other factions.
Will Barak succeed in formation of the coalition? In case he succeeds, what faction will be set aside? Will Barak leave his allies and friends, who look forward to the materialization of his promises, or will he make the orthodox hard-line groups accept the people's demand and the realities? Will Barak's social and liberal tendencies allow him to be impartial about different factions? In the event the coalition is formed, which faction or party will be transformed?
