Iran finishes runner-up at Polish wrestling meet

TEHRAN – Iran finished runner-up to Turkey at the international freestyle wrestling tournament, Ziolkowski, in the Polish city of Siedlce Sunday.
Taqi Dadashi and Fardin Ma’sumi grabbed the glittering golds at the 55 and 120kg categories respectively on the last day, helping Iran lift the second title with four gold and one bronze medals.
Dadashi beat his Azerbaijani rival in the final and Ma’sumi outpointed the Turkish finalist.
Iran had already won two golds and one bronze as Reza Yazdani handed the Asian powerhouse the first gold after he stood top in the 84kg category and his teammate Alireza Heidari added the second in the 96kg class.
The bronze came as Mehdi Hajizadeh finished third in the 74kg class.
South Korea took the third title.
