Power plant boiler’s domestically made igniter card tests OK

TEHRAN – Experts at the Regional Electricity Co. of Khuzestan Province have managed to produce an electronic part for Zargan Power Plant’s boiler.

As ordered by the Regional Electricity Co. of Khuzestan Province, Mehrdad Keramatzadeh and his colleagues have produced the igniter card of the electric furnace of Zargan Power plant’s boiler, the Persian service of Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) said on Saturday. The card’s performance has been successfully tested in the field.

The designing and copying of the card was made possible through the use of the powerful EWB-5 and 12 software, the report added.

The igniter card module controls the ignition system of the power plant boiler’s electronic furnace. It regulates the current of the arc furnace electrodes’ so as to stabilize the temperature required by the furnace.
