TEHRAN -- Iran is to hold a contemporary literature week commencing March 9 in Ashgabat.

The aims of the event are to forge friendly relations between Iranian and Turkmen poets and authors and introduce Persian contemporary literature to the Turkmen people.
Poets Mostafa Rahmandust, Afsaneh Shabannejad, Jafar Ebrahimi and Abdoljabbar Kakaii will be participating in the event.

TEHRAN –- Iranian short film “This Cradle Will Shake” has been awarded in the international section of the Orobie Film Festival which was held from February 13 until 16 in Italy.
The film is about a rural girl and her brother who become lost during a heavy rainstorm. Their mother goes to look for them, but on her way home she is killed by a thunderbolt..
