Iran, Syria bolster industrial cooperation

TEHRAN, Oct. (MNA) – Iranian and Syrian industries ministers signed a memorandum of understanding here on Wednesday at the end of the eighth meeting of their joint industry committee, IRIB reported.
Iran’s Industries and Mines Minister Ali-Akbar Mehrabian said that the sides agreed on the Iranian private sector companies’ contributing to the construction and renovation of Syria’s cement plants, building a bus and car making factory, and retrofitting a steel mill.The MOU also included the construction of tractor and agricultural equipment manufacturing units, an ammonia production plant, a dairy complex, a tire making plant, and a home appliances factory, the minister said.
