Photo exhibit on Imam Reza (AS) opens in Baku

TEHRAN -- A photo exhibition with the central theme of Imam Reza (AS) and the Ahl-ul-Bait opened Tuesday at the Museum Center in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Director Mehdi Mostafavi as well Iran’s ambassador and cultural attaché to Baku attended the opening of the two-day exhibit.
A brochure containing details on the life and activities of the eighth Imam of the Shiites, Imam Reza (AS), was also handed out to the audience at the opening ceremony.
The exhibit displays a selection of 30 photos about the Imam and the holy shrine of the Imam in the city of Mashhad and also Hazrat Masumeh (SA), the sister of Imam Reza (AS) and her holy shrine in Qom.
Also included and on display is a selection of Persian handicrafts.
Mostafavi, who was delighted on the opening of such an exhibit in Baku, said that both countries enjoy good bilateral relations.
He regarded Imam Reza (AS) as a symbol of love, affection, and divine justice, adding, “His holy shrine now receives millions of people every day where they whisper their words and reveal their secrets to the Imam.”
The photo exhibit is part of Iran’s cultural week now underway in Baku. An exhibit of handicrafts, film screenings, and book fairs have also been arranged during the cultural week.
