Tajik musician Davlatmand Kholov to give concerts in Tehran

TEHRAN -- The celebrated Tajik virtuoso and music composer Davlatmand Kholov will give concerts during the Noruz Holidays in Tehran.

Kholov will accompany the Tajik President Emomali Rahmon who will attend New Year (Noruz) festivities in Iran from March 26 to March 28.
Senior officials from 20 countries including a number of presidents from the Persian-speaking states will be attending the ancient Persian New Year (Noruz) festivities in Iran. The celebrations will be held from March 26 to March 28.
However, the exact date and place for the concerts are not specified yet.
Kholov is a musician and singer from Kulob in Tajikistan. An expert in the southern folk genre of Tajik music called Falak, he plays and sings poetry of the Sufi poets, mainly Jalaleddin Rumi. Davlatmand’s outlook is close to Rumi’s poetry and philosophy.
