TEHRAN – The managing director of the Telecommunication Company says the study phase for entering into the fifth generation of cell phones has started nationwide, IRNA reported on Sunday.

Stressing that definitely the fifth generation will enjoy major network equipment, Kazem Ebrahimi said to this end the Telecommunication Company as of now should take measures to provide the prerequisites for taking advantage of the new technology.

However, Ebahimi added, currently the application of the fifth cell phone generation is only in its study phase.

As long as the third and fourth generations have not become fully implemented and relevant problems remain unsolved, there will be no program to get involved in the fifth generation, Ebrahimi stated.
