Iran basketball team defeated Japan 78-57 in the 2015 William Jones Cup on Monday.

Hamed Haddadi had 14 points for Iran and Joji Takeuchi scored 16 points for Japan.
Iran has defeated South Korea and Chinese Taipei B so far.
The tournament is an important warm-up event for national teams from Asia who are preparing for this month's FIBA Asia Championship.

Iran are the defending Asian champions and will play the Wellington Saints from New Zealand on Tuesday.
