TEHRAN -- Gohar Kheirandish, the star of director Tina Pakravan’s drama “It Happened at Midnight”, has praised the writer’s understanding of women’s mysterious world.
“Tala Motazedi has written a good story and she usually likes to enter the mysterious world of women,” Kheirandish said during a review session for the movie during the Fajr Film Festival at Milad Tower on Tuesday. The movie is about an offbeat romance between a young singer played by actor Hamed Behdad and a middle-aged woman played by actress Roya Nonahali.
“Making a film on love in a society where the rate of divorce has increased is not a strange thing. Lovers with a substantial difference between their ages still face accusations in the society, even if it is an innocent love,” director Pakravan said at the ceremony.
“The main point in this film is the honor and the honesty observed in the eyes of Behdad. A decent love that has been lost in our cinema for years,” actress Setareh Eskandari added.
