He proposed to establish more branches of the House of Pottery in the cities that are home to the art of pottery like Isfahan, Yazd and Hamedan.

Secretary of the event Behzad Ajdari next commemorated the name and memoirs of veteran sculptor, painter and translator of artworks Arabali Sherveh who died in May. He had translated great number of art books, especially for beginners.
Afterwards, Ajdari said that the previous edition was held in Semnan, which caused several problems. He added that this time, the program is being held in Tehran and Semnan simultaneously to avoid further difficulties.
Ajdari stated that the same would continue for future editions in other provinces.
This year’s biennial features works of higher quality that display new ideas, materials and new technology, he remarked.
He pointed out that pottery makers Ismail Yardimci from Turkey and Ronald Summer from Austria are attending the biennial.
They are due to hold workshops during the event, while a selection of their works are on show in an exhibition at the museum during the biennial.
Sculpture, practical art, special techniques, ceramic designs and selected pottery artworks are among the major sections of the biennial.
