TEHRAN Officials of Uzbekistan's Kharazmi University called on the Islamic Republic of Iran to help the expansion of Persian language in this university. The deputy of the Kharazmi University in a meeting with the First Secretary of the Iran's Embassy in Tashkent, Mojtaba Karami, underlined that his university is determined to expand Persian language. Referring to the history of Persian language in Uzbekistan, the deputy of the university noted that since most of the sources needed by Uzbek students are in Persian, it is necessary to teach this rich language in this university.
