TEHRAN – Iranian director Puran Derakhshandeh’s acclaimed drama “Hush! Girls Don’t Scream”, has won the best art direction award at the Action on Film (AOF), an international film festival in Pasadena, California, the U.S.

The film’s star Shahab Hosseini also won the award for best actor in the World Cinema section of the event, which was held from September 2 to 10.

“Hush! Girls Don’t Scream” is about Shirin who is supposed to get married in a couple of hours, but murders a man unexpectedly.
