DHAKA Two monkeys and three people were detained by police for alleged drug dealing in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka, AFP reported here Monday. Monkeys Munni and Hamid were trained by drug dealers in Dhaka's Mugdapara area to help them in the business, but police Sunday the animals and the humans and took them to a local police station. As the three men faced the court, the monkeys were sent straight to Dhaka's zoo, where they were placed in cages, the reports said.

Munni used to take money from customers, while her partner Hamid handed over quantities of a banned cough syrup.
