Real Madrid win UEFA Champions League for 12th time

Real Madrid defeated Juventus 4-1 to retain the Champions League Final at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff Saturday night.
Cristiano Ronaldo was named man of the match after scoring two goals and becoming the first player to score in three finals.
It was Real Madrid’s 12th European Cup.
They have also become the first team to defend the title since the competition was revamped in 1992.
Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 20th minute but Mario Mandzukic cancelled out the Portuguese striker’s goal seven minutes later.
Casemiro opened the scoring with a long-range shot on the hour mark.
Los Blancos grabbed a third goal four minutes later, as Luka Modric raced to the byline and fired the ball to the far post, where Ronaldo was on hand to tap home, 1-3.
Real Madrid rounded off the scoring in the 90th minute as Marcelo embarked on a fine run, before picking out Marcos Asensio, who slotted into the bottom corner as Real claimed their 12th Champions League title.
