Iran, Serbia ink trade, aviation & agro co-op MOUs

TEHRAN- During the 15th meeting of Iran-Serbia Joint Economic Committee in Belgrade on Thursday, the two countries signed three memorandums of understanding (MOUs) on trade, aviation, and agricultural cooperation, Shata news agency reported.
The meeting’s final agreement was signed by Serbian Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic and Iranian Minister of Industry Mohammad Shariatmadari, the report said.
The agreements on aviation and agriculture sectors were respectively signed between Shariatmadari and Serbian Minister of Construction, Transportation, and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and Serbian Minister of Agriculture Branislav Nedimovic.
Some senior officials from both countries were reportedly present at the signing ceremonies of the agreements.
In a joint meeting with Shariatmadari, the Serbian minister of trade and tourism underlined the significance of expansion of energy, agricultural, tourism, road, and construction cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries.
Addressing a press conference, the Iranian minister described the future of Iran-Serbia cooperation bright calling for removal of some present obstacles such as those in banking sector.
