TEHRAN - According to latest intelligence reports cited in Indian media outlets, Pakistan’s intelligence agency is allegedly making efforts to strengthen Al-Badr, a little-known terror organisation, to carry out attacks in Indian controlled Kashmir

A report prepared by India’s Home Ministry hints at an extensive plot, where Al-Badr will carry out simultaneous attacks in both India and Afghanistan, which, according to the report, may help Pakistan to deflect any attention.

According to Zee Media, a popular media group in India, Al-Badr has ‘recruited’ around 15 local men in Kashmir in last three months. Three of these 15 belong to restive districts of Pulwama and Shopian. Last month, during a rally in Pakistan controlled Kashmir, Al-Badr’s chief Bakt Zamin had said that the group will become ‘voice of Kashmir.’

In addition to this, the group had also released a video warning more attacks, the report says. In the video released on June 5, the self-styled Al-Badr commnader was seen apologizing to the local Kashmiris, who were injured in the grenade attack in Pulwama. The terrorist also claimed that Al-Badr had 100 men working for it and that it will recruit 200 in coming weeks.
Other groups such as Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad are also helping out Al-Badr, the report adds.
